Bewilderment
Bewilderment, a zoomer-owned and -operated specialty store, asked me to come up with copy that would help translate the experience of exploring a physical store to the digital realm. Working with the company’s founder, I developed a mini manifesto, descriptions for each of the product “aisles,” two-sided postcards for the company’s loyalty program, and blog posts, as well as headlines and other copy assets that could be used across email, web, and social media.
Despite a successful launch, the pandemic took a toll on Bewilderment’s sales, and Brandon shut down this part of his business empire. He later borrowed the name when he rebranded his other business, Crumble Co., in 2023. Still, I’m really proud of the work we did together, and hope the concept comes back in some form when the time is right.

Manifesto
Picture the coolest shop in your college town. You know the one—run by a bunch of former art students. Impeccably curated but never snobby. It’s the kind of place that rewards curiosity. Wall-to-wall color. Always something new to look at. Really great music. The type of shop where you want to touch everything.
That’s us.
We're Bewilderment, a Gen Z curated collection of mission-focused brands, art and online experiences. We make shopping during the apocalypse more fun.
We’re all about the analog, the lo-fi, the tactile. About layering your everyday world with expressions of your personality. We’re equal parts nostalgia and knowing winks.
Here on bewilderment.com, we’re putting the joy back into online shopping. We want to recreate the experience of wandering the aisles of your fave store, where you find too-great-to-pass-up goodies around every corner, at a price point that encourages you to spoil yourself (and your friends too).
Surprises are tucked everywhere here. Get bewildered and have a look around—you’re gonna to love it.

BYOB (Build Your Own Bag)
A tote-ally new take on the carry-all.
Boys, girls, thems—everyone’s got a bag these days. The newest trend in bags isn’t stuffy or structured, it’s whimsical. Stash-able. Layered with personality. Here’s how to create your perfect bag:
Pick a bag, any bag.
Our reusable totes are surprisingly sturdy and come in lots of fun prints. Made of a rip, tear, and life-proof material, these little beauties are good for a grocery haul, a quick trip to the beach, or to carry your lunch. And they fold into a neat little pouch so you can take them anywhere!
Layer on personal touches
Next, make it yours.
Clip on a key chain or a coin pouch.
Add an enamel pin (or several).
Tuck in a few bonus bags. This one doubles as the cutest bag charm!
Throw in some Nice Cream or Cuticle Custard to keep those hands sublimely soft (pandemic handwashing takes its toll).
And don’t forget your umbrella—this little guy has got you covered.
Fill ‘er up…
…with all your favorite stuff. Gum case, wallet, keys, phone, pill case, Polaroid camera, healthcare essentials, and water bottle.
Don’t forget the stickers
In science we trust; in stickers too. Add them to everything—it’s a more is more kind of situation.
