What’s your hourly rate?

My packages are priced by the outcome (your gorgeous copy), not by the hour. Think of it like this: if you choose to work with me, it’s because you like my style, the meticulous care I bring to every project, and the killer copy insights I’ve accrued in my seventeen years of working with brands like Starbucks, Microsoft, and Ogilvy.

Do you offer a discount for editing?

Nope! Editing existing copy is as much work as writing something from scratch (sometimes, it’s actually more challenging). People tend to think that editing is like giving someone’s copy a haircut—all you’re doing is bringing out the best in what’s already there by shaping it and removing the scraggly bits. Sometimes that’s the case, but not often. Usually, it’s more like someone handing you a bin that contains pieces from eight separate jigsaw puzzles and hoping that you’ll make something beautiful with it all. It takes time, finesse, and a lot of brand new pieces (new copy) to bridge the gaps.
