The age-old conundrum for professional services firms the world over: how do you communicate your philosophy and offerings in a way that sounds fresh and exciting? Urban development—even when it’s inherently positive and undertaken for the right reasons—can be a thorny issue. That's why Runberg Architecture Group asked me to ghostwrite this feature for the urban planning edition of the Seattle Daily Journal of Commerce. The piece examines the pioneering, community-based approach that Runberg and developer Vulcan Real Estate took in designing the Jackson Apartments in Seattle's historic Central Area and how it can serve as a model for urban planning.
